Patreon Update: April 2015

Welcome to my Patreon Update for April 2015. This is my monthly report of how my Patreon campaign is performing, as well as my chance to thank everyone for their ongoing support.

As always, let's get started with last month's earnings. Below you can see my transparency report regarding all the pledges that were received and processed for March.

March 2015 Earnings

Continuing with the success of introducing patrons-only vlogs, last month's earnings are the highest they have ever been. And with this, I am hoping to see a month-to-month increase as the year progresses.

Below are my detailed earnings for March 2015:

  • Pledged: $1,900 by 311 patrons
  • Processed: $1,845 by 301 patrons
  • Deductions: $115.36 credit card fees, $91.00 Patreon fee
  • Final Paid: $1,638.64

Updates

What can I say? Well, simply put, March was my best month yet on Patreon. I now have a steady 300+ patrons making their pledges every month, and with more on the way. You truly are making a significant difference in my life, especially this time of year.

As a self-employed content creator, tax season is never fun. It's a very stressful time of year, but I can say with confidence that Patreon has made the experience much more pleasant than what I am used to. And that is not an exaggeration, so please allow me to take a moment to extend a simple thank-you for your help.

So what else has been happening with my Patreon campaign? Honestly, not all that much has changed since last month, at least in terms of perks — and it's going to stay that way for a little while yet.

Since introducing patrons-only vlogs, my numbers have seen a sharp increase. I am extremely happy with this outcome. For just $5/month, it's a lot of fun to be able to provide exclusive vlogs every Friday. This perk alone, in my opinion, has proven what Patreon is capable of from a content creator's perspective.

Exclusive content sells, and that's powerful.
