Patreon Update: February 2016

Welcome to my Patreon Update for February 2016. This is my monthly report of how my Patreon campaign is performing, as well as my chance to thank everyone for their ongoing support.

As always, let's get started with last month's earnings. Below you can see my transparency report regarding all the pledges that were received and processed for January.

January 2016 Earnings

Transitioning from December into January saw a slight decrease in overall pledges, which is typically normal for this time of year. For those keeping track, below are the latest numbers:

  • Pledged: $2,371.00
  • Processed: $2,102.41
  • Service Fees: $268.59

Updates

Can you believe it has already been one year since I've introduced the patrons-only vlogs? I like to think that is the single best thing I have done with my Patreon campaign thus far. The vlogs alone brought in an entirely new group of patrons. And you know what? They're not going anywhere any time soon. My patrons seem to love them, so the vlogs are here to stay.

So, what else is happening? Well, thanks to my Patreon campaign, I have been able to manage my finances more flexibly, which has resulted in the decision to finally begin building my new gaming setup for live streams. As of today, I have half the setup complete, with the Xbox One fully connected and running — and with more additions on the way.

One of my original milestone goals here on Patreon was to generate at least $1,500/per month, which happened quite a while ago. Since then, I have stayed true to my promise and hosted live gaming streams once a week.

Now with my new gaming setup, I am looking to stream multiple times every week. Needless to say, it's been a lot of fun. If you haven't done so already, please subscribe to Di Franco Gaming. This revised YouTube channel is exclusively reserved for live streams and game clips.

As for everything else, my daily workflow pretty much continues as-is. If you have any ideas on how I can improve my Patreon campaign and its rewards, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Conclusion

Well, there you have it. Another Patreon Update is in the books! As always, I want to take a moment to thank my patrons for everything they have done. As a self-employed content creator, the beginning of the year is always the toughest.

Patreon has made a significant difference in allowing me to continue to create original content, without the worry of fluctuating advertising revenue. And believe me, I am not just saying that. Crowdfunding is a game changer.
