Patreon Update: January 2016

Welcome to my Patreon Update for January 2016. This is my monthly report of how my Patreon campaign is performing, as well as my chance to thank everyone for their ongoing support.

As always, let's get started with last month's earnings. Below you can see my transparency report regarding all the pledges that were received and processed for December.

December 2015 Earnings

Transitioning from November into December saw a substantial increase in overall pledges. For those keeping track, below are the latest numbers:

  • Pledged: $2,530.50
  • Processed: $2,234.73
  • Service Fees: $287.30

Updates

What can I say? December was a great month for my Patreon campaign. It was actually my best month yet. The introduction of a $2 pledge tier really made a nice difference, which is why I am confident in bringing it back for the 2016 holiday season.

Patrons, as promised, got early access to my "Christmas 2015" series. This seemed to make many of you very happy, which tells me I am doing something right.

I'm telling you, early access to content sells. Not everyone may be onboard with the idea, but it certainly works wonders. If you're thinking of running your own Patreon campaign, it might be something you want to consider.

So, moving forward with 2016... What changes? Well, for now, not all that much. My patrons-only vlogs continue to perform well, so they'll be around for the long haul — as will the monthly Google+ Hangouts.

Speaking of Hangouts, look for the next one on Saturday, January 23. I don't have a time yet, but count on it happening that evening. As always, patrons will be messaged privately with details.

I suppose that's it for now. The beginning of 2016 is going to be pretty quiet with changes, which I suppose is a good thing. Things are going very well, so I would hate to mess with something good. Still though, if you ever have any ideas in regards to how I can improve my Patreon campaign, please feel free to email me.

Conclusion

Well, there you have it — the first Patreon Update of 2016, and with plenty more to follow. As always, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who makes all this possible.

Advertising revenue is currently on a significant decline for the month of January, so please know that you are truly making a difference. I sincerely hope you're enjoying your experience as a patron. Keep being you.
