Review: PDF Editor Pro for Mac
The majority of my everyday routine consists of video production, web design, and participation in social media. Once in a while, I am required to convert and edit PDFs. Needless to say, just thinking about it frustrates me. However, I only feel this way because of bad past experiences — that is until now.
Wondershare has (for the most part) defeated that frustration with PDF Editor Pro for Mac. In a nutshell, the $99 software is capable of the following:
• convert scanned PDFs into editable documents
• search PDFs using OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
• view and edit PDF files in all languages
• export PDF to Word, Excel, EPUB, HTML, etc.
• freely annotate PDFs and markup with notes
Upon launching PDF Editor Pro, you are prompted to open an existing document. For testing purposes, I chose to go with an eBook of mine, 15 YouTube Tips: First Edition.
While you will most likely want to reference the manual for tips, the overall user interface is fairly simple and easy to understand. A toolbar with all necessary options is located along the top, with a sidebar on the right featuring thumbnails of your document’s pages.
Using the Touchup Tool, editing text is surprisingly simple — especially when compared to other “solutions” I have dealt with. While implementation is not perfect, it’s certainly good enough for anyone looking to edit converted documents. For this feature alone, PDF Editor Pro has quickly turned into my go-to software.
As mentioned in the list of features above, you also have the ability of turning scanned PDFs into editable documents, applying annotations for note-taking purposes, and much more.
If you find yourself dealing with PDFs on a regular basis, then it’s safe to say this software is worth the price of admission. $99.95 may not be right for everyone, however. Thankfully, Wondershare does offer a free trial (direct download) for those interested in taking it for a spin.
PDF Editor Pro for Mac can be purchased here. The only requirement is that you must be running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), or 10.7 (Lion).

Great review David. I'm glad to see you're trying to write reviews rather than have them on video. Do you know PDF Editor is available for Windows or any Windows alternatives?
